Life's Changing Seasons - What's the Purpose?

Ecclesiastes 3:4 Grief/Loss

There is a time to cry and a time to laugh. There is a time to be sad and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4 (NCV)

Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief. Marcus Tullius Cicero

I came across the passage in the Bible that is one of my favorites - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. Doesn't it describe life to you? I think when you have experienced a little life and are a little more "mature" :) you can identify with this passage. Isn't it amazing that God created seasons in Nature as well as seasons in Life. Nothing stays the same - life is ever changing, dormant times and well as when "Life is in full bloom". One thing I have learned to have faith in is that when we are going through a dormant, dark time- it won't stay the same. And things DO get better. Sometimes we just have to hang on until the next season.

When we are dealing with loss in relation to a loved one that has gone on, a marriage that didn't work out, problems with our family or our friends, an unexpected change in circumstances; God has made time for everything. This is not merely a description of what happens in life; it is a description of what God sends, God loves us and has a wonderful plan for our life. We just need a little faith :)

FATHER GOD - WHEN WE ARE FEELING IMMEDIATE LOSS OR PROLONGED LOSS OF SOMETHING IN OUR LIVES, REMIND US THAT BETTER TIMES ARE AHEAD. REMIND US THAT YOU HAVE A PLAN FOR US, YOUR CHILDREN. YOU GIVE US A LIFE OF OPPOSITES TO LEARN AND HELP GROW IN OUR FAITH . HELP US TO HANG ON FOR THE NEXT SEASON. THANK YOU FOR AMAZING LOVE AND COMFORT. AMEN.
