Life's Changing Seasons -What is the Purpose? (Ecclesiastes 3:8)

The Art of "Standing Up" and Staying in God's Will

"There is a time to love and a time to hate. There is a time for war and a time for peace" .Ecclesiastes 3:8

"It’s a fact that you’re going to have a different opinion or view on certain topics or issues. You need stand your ground by sharing your view."― Michael Barbarulo: Author

King Solomon's famous poem is so complex and has so much depth. Absolutely love it1 It can be interpreted soooo many ways. How I read and identify with Ecclesiastes 3:8 is that there are appropriate times to stand up, say no to situations (personally, locally, globally) that hinder our growth spiritually. I believe some of us naturally are "loving" and definitely can practice "love thy neighbor as thyself". But its harder for us to stand up, say no and deal with conflict. Can you identify with this? I know I surely can.

I'm "learning" that saying no to people, events, situations that come up is not "going against God's Will for us". It took me awhile to learn this. If people situations aren't going to encourage growth in our relationship with God; its better to "end, cut off, run the other way, say no, stand up" to find peace and freedom spiritually. Does this mean to provoke conflict or fighting? NO! But it does mean to highly value God's will in your life by standing up for what is right for your peace of mind and God :)

FATHER GOD - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING US THE FREEDOM TO MAKE DECISIONS THAT CAN HELP US GROW CLOSER TO YOU. HELP US TO DISCERN PEOPLE AND SITUATIONS THAT CAN HINDER OUR SPIRITUALITY. GIVE US STRENGTH TO STAND UP, SAY NO TO STAY IN YOUR WILL. HELP US TO HATE THE SIN BUT CARE FOR THE SINNER. THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE. AMEN
