Body and Spirit through Christ's Example

With God’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20 (NCV)

Our faces, then, are not covered. We all show the Lord’s glory, and we are being changed to be like him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.2 Corinthians 3:18(NCV)

“Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body rather than a body with a soul.” ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer

With Christ as our model, God calls us to pursue a peace. This type of peace is  holistic and transformative. It is not peace that is merely an end to something dark, tumultous. It's a peace in the "midst of the storm".  It’s a peace that brings us to new beginnings and into right relationships. When we accept God’s gift of peace through Jesus Christ it permeates every aspect of our lives.

Do you think peace is a physical feeling?emotional feeling? spiritual feeling?

How is it physical?
The body follows the mind. When the body is out of balance (energy level, mood state, lacking spiritual connection with God, sleep habits, etc) , it is important to understanding what is causing the imbalance and learn ways to help the problem.. Physical health is a state of heightened energy and vitality; freedom from pain, disability, and disease; the ability to perform our daily actions with a sufficient amount of energy.

How is it emotional ?
The mind controls the body. Therefore, the "our state of mind" is the key to balancing the heart and soul. The most important lesson is to understand that" energy follows thought". Keeping our thoughts positive and enlightened can help our wellness, just as negative thoughts  keep us sick. Since the main cause illness is stress, understanding how to control your stress levels is key in achieving peace that God wants to give us. This could be learning to be in prayer, reading His Word, physical exercise, enjoying nature, being/talking with others in Christ.  ANYTHING that is productive, helps nurture us and we enjoy.

How is it spiritual?
The spirit is our deepest healing resource. To recognize a power that is greater than our own is to recognize our spirituality connected with God. When we are spiritual, wel strive to live with awareness, love, faith and devotion.  " When we are growing in "spiritual health"  we notice a diminished sense of fear and the daily experience of unconditional love, joy, gratitude, and a personal relationship with God. We believe that God is in control and He is compassionate. Knowing that "He's got this" and we can relax in Him.

Does it "just" happen? We are human. No, we have to intentionally practice everyday - pray for peace and make peace with others daily. Making peace with ourselves, knowing that God is control of all situations. Knowing that we are dependent on Him and He wants the best for us. Repenting and making amends if we make mistakes, which we ALL do:)." Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus".

FATHER GOD - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A TRUE EXAMPLE OF PEACE AND LIVING AS BODY AND SOUL ON THIS EARTH. NUDGE US TO LEAVE OUR COMFORT ZONE, BEING OPEN TO OTHERS AND OPEN TO WHERE THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES US TODAY. HELP US TO DO THE THINGS WE NEED TO DO TO NOURISH OUR SPIRIT AND OUR BODIES TODAY. HELP US TO STRIVE TO BE CLEAR EXAMPLES OF YOUR PEACE AND LOVE. AMEN.
